Haemolysed, clotted or lipaemic samples cannot be tested

Test usage

To determine the blood group and Direct Antiglobulin Test (DAT) status of Newborn and <4 month old infants. This test will also indicate if the Newborn has been affected by maternal Red cell antibodies and by  what degree the antibody has bound to the infants cells.

Expected turnaround

Times for results from these samples is <1 day.
