Special Instructions

Include onset date. Samples are only tested if >5 days from onset.

Test Usage

Diagnosis of atypical pneumonia by complement fixation test( CFT)

Includes Q fever, Chlamydia SP and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Only tested once the convalescent blood sample has been received. We will test for Mycoplasma pneumoniae if epidemiological criteria are met. (e.g. age, 5 days from onset)
