Test Usage

Arsenic is the 20th most common element in the earth’s crust and is found in most living organisms and in low concentration in water. Because a high urine level can be due to non-toxic organic arsenic found in relatively high concentrations in fish and shellfish, a high result should be repeated 2-3 weeks after abstaining from seafood. Industrial exposure to toxic inorganic arsenic occurs in users of arsenical pesticides and in the metal and marine paint industries.
